Description

AcralMed Knob Control Mayo Stand

The mayo stand plays an essential role in successful surgical procedures. Its unique tray support extends over the bed or table, placing instruments beside the surgical site. This design gives surgeons and nurses a convenient work surface close to the procedure. Additionally, the thumb-operated control makes tray adjustments easy during seated procedures or when foot controls are difficult to reach.

Operating rooms require equipment that withstands frequent cleaning and disinfection. Therefore, this stand features fully welded 304 grade stainless steel construction for superior durability and corrosion resistance. The fully welded design eliminates cavities that could collect unwanted substances. Furthermore, it provides exceptional strength and long-lasting performance.

This mayo stand features upgraded 2-inch composite SayNo2Rust casters that help prevent rust in operating room environments. The casters also replace easily in the field if damaged. As a result, facilities can reduce repair costs and extend the stand’s service life.

Choose from two removable 304 grade stainless steel tray sizes. The smaller tray measures 12 5/8 by 19 1/8 inches for compact spaces or smaller procedures. Meanwhile, the medium tray measures 16 1/4 by 21 1/4 inches and remains the most popular option. It provides an excellent balance of workspace and functionality. Larger trays would make thumb adjustment more difficult, so only these two sizes are offered.

Another unique feature allows the stand to slide beneath the base of nearly any operating table. The 3/8-inch profile fits under the table, positioning the tray close to the surgical site.

The thumb knob is a great fool-proof way to adjust the stand.  To raise or lower the tray, simply support the tray with one hand and loosen the knob with the other.  Set the tray to the desired height and then tighten the knob.  It is not recommended to adjust the height with an items on the tray, they could fall and it also adds weight to the tray and makes it more difficult to adjust.
