Description

Looking for a reliable, high-quality utility prep table for your surgical or clinical setting? For over 20 years, Mid Central Medical has been a trusted manufacturer of durable stainless steel instrument tables—also known as back tables—engineered for everyday performance in the OR and Central Sterile.

Our utility tables are built with the details that matter. While the features may not stand out at first glance, they are designed to make a big impact in daily use. This video may help you choose the right table for your facility!

Key Features of Our Utility Prep Tables

Reinforced Revealed Edge

Our tables include a 1.5″ revealed edge, adding superior rigidity to the top and shelf. By turning down more material, we create a stronger edge that resists bending and wear—perfect for high-traffic operating rooms.

Smooth, Quiet Neoprene Casters (Standard!)

Every AcralMed utility table comes with 3″ neoprene casters—not as an upgrade, but as a standard feature. These casters grip smooth floors, even when wet, and roll quietly without the sliding and noise of hard plastic wheels. And now our utility prep tables are available to upgrade with our New sayno2rust casters, a must to keep rust out of your OR!

Heavy-Duty 16-Gauge Stainless Steel

We use 16-gauge stainless steel for both the table top and shelf on our utility prep tables—25% thicker than the industry-standard 18-gauge. This means less flexing under heavy equipment and better long-term durability.

Welded Reinforcing Supports with Sound Dampening

Utility tables over 4 feet in length are built with reinforcing supports under both the top and shelf. Each support is paired with sound-dampening cushions to reduce vibration during movement, improving stability and quiet transport.

Square Tube Legs for Stronger Welds

We use 1″ square tubing rather than round tubing for the legs. Why? Square tubing provides more surface area for welds and contains 25% more stainless steel than the same size round tube—resulting in stronger, longer-lasting joints.
